MADISON CO., Ala. (WAFF) – Jennifer Howze, a former employee of the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles, has been indicted on multiple charges stemming from alleged misuse of her position. A Madison County grand jury found sufficient evidence for her to stand trial.
Howze is accused of using her office for personal gain and promoting prison contraband, related to an incident involving an inmate from the Limestone Correctional Facility. The charges include five counts of promoting prison contraband in the first degree and two counts in the second degree.
Currently, Howze is held in the Madison County Jail with a $60,000 bond and is awaiting transport to Limestone County to face the charges.
