HILO, Hawaii – Police in Hilo recently arrested 46-year-old Ivan Steve Kong, a man considered armed and dangerous, following an outstanding warrant.
On Wednesday, February 26, Kong was apprehended on Kilauea Avenue in Hilo. The arrest was made in response to a warrant issued by the Hawaii Paroling Authority due to a violation of his parole terms and conditions.
Authorities also revealed that Kong was under investigation for recent criminal incidents occurring in Hilo and Puna. He remains a significant focus of ongoing inquiries into these incidents.
