Dilpreet Singh Arrested for Stealing Farmers’ Transformers

Shahkot resident caught for theft from Saipur village farmland

The police have arrested a man accused of stealing electrical transformers and motor wires from farmland in Saipur village, Punjab. The accused has been identified as Dilpreet Singh, a resident of Mohalla Vikas Nagar, Shahkot.

According to the complaint filed by Arashdeep Singh of Khanpur Rajputan village, the theft occurred on May 5, when Dilpreet allegedly entered his agricultural land and stole a transformer and motor wiring. These components are vital for irrigation and electrical operations in farming.

Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and apprehended Dilpreet Singh. He has been booked for theft of agricultural equipment, which is a serious offense due to the disruption it causes to farmers’ livelihoods.

Authorities are continuing the investigation to determine if he is connected to similar incidents in the area.
