OMAHA, Neb. — A 36-year-old Omaha woman, Sarah Harris, has been arrested again for allegedly buying vehicles without paying dealers, officials report.

Harris appeared in court Monday facing felony charges of theft by deception over $5,000 and second-degree forgery of $5,000 or more. She was previously arrested for squatting in a home near 38th and Cass Streets for several months, causing significant property damage.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Harris purchased a 2026 Chevrolet 1500 truck from Gregg Young Chevrolet using falsified documentation, including a photoshopped insurance card and a fraudulent “GM Financial Certification of Beneficial Owner.” She listed the squatted home as her address.

Investigators found that Harris allegedly attempted to impersonate the owner or CEO of nearly every auto dealership in town, using a PDF editor to insert dealership names on forms. She also provided a check claiming to be drawn from General Motors, which bounced.

Law enforcement discovered printers, laptops, and over 200 sheets of blank check stock at the Cass Street home after her eviction on April 17. Some checks were linked to a company Harris registered called “All in One.”

Harris reportedly attempted similar fraudulent vehicle purchases three previous times between July 2025 and January 2026, resulting in multiple arrests.

Harris is currently held on $20,000 bond for the car fraud case and $7,500 bond for the forgery case. She had been out on $2,500 bond for the earlier squatting charges. Her next court appearance is scheduled for May 4.
