PULLMAN — A 28-year-old Pullman man, Jayson Kramlich, was arrested on multiple charges following a domestic violence incident and standoff with law enforcement Sunday afternoon. The incident began with a reported domestic dispute at a residence on the 1000 block of Southwest Monta Vista Circle.

According to the Pullman Police Department, Kramlich threatened to harm himself and others, while reportedly being armed with a knife. Authorities responded to the scene, where Kramlich barricaded himself inside the home, claiming to have a shotgun and threatening officers.

After several hours of standoff, the Whitman County Regional SWAT Team was deployed, along with a reconnaissance drone. During the confrontation, Kramlich allegedly charged through the door and assaulted an officer, who sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.

Kramlich was taken into custody and booked into Whitman County Jail on charges including fourth-degree assault, second-degree assault, felony harassment, intimidating a public servant, and resisting arrest.

He is scheduled for a preliminary court appearance this afternoon in Colfax’s Whitman County Superior Court.

Pullman Police Chief Aaron Breshears expressed gratitude to the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office and Washington State University Police Department for their assistance during the incident.
