Gorchuk Police Seize Fake Currency Worth Rs 3 Lakh, Two Arrested

the Gorchuk police in Guwahati successfully dismantled a fake currency racket with the arrest of two individuals, Rajaul Islam and Rajibul Islam, from Lalung Gaon. The police seized counterfeit notes valued at Rs 3 lakh, comprising 600 fake Rs500 notes.

The duo admitted to purchasing the fake currency from Lakhimpur with plans to sell it in Guwahati. The authorities have launched a probe into the origin of the counterfeit notes and are continuing their investigation to uncover further links in the illegal operation.

The police have initiated legal proceedings against the two individuals.
