South Goa’s Superintendent of Police (SP) Sunita Sawant has urged citizens to remain vigilant against cybercrimes following the arrest of Tushar Bansal, a Delhi native, in connection with a Rs 3.86 lakh fraud case. Bansal was apprehended by Colva police after allegedly fraudulently collecting concert tickets meant for another person, leading to a significant financial loss.
The police tracked Bansal using technical surveillance and managed to arrest him in Mumbai. His arrest marks an important breakthrough in the investigation of the cybercrime. SP Sawant has emphasized the importance of awareness and caution to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future, urging residents to report suspicious activities immediately.
