WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Tyler Vogel, 33, of West Palm Beach, was arrested on charges of assault and armed robbery after impersonating an FBI agent during a violent crime on Sunday evening. Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) responded to a call around 6 p.m. near the iThink Financial Amphitheater where they encountered a victim who had his phone stolen.

According to the arrest report, the victim was walking toward an apartment building when Vogel, wearing a motorcycle helmet and pretending to be an FBI agent, approached him and demanded his ID. Vogel then allegedly punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground before stealing his phone. After the attack, Vogel was seen fleeing the scene in a white Dodge Ram with a blue stripe and “FASTENAL” written on the side. A large dog was also inside the vehicle.

The PBSO later identified Vogel as the suspect and apprehended him. He now faces charges for armed robbery and assault. The investigation is ongoing.
