MOSES LAKE, WA – A 34-year-old Moses Lake man, Tomas Diaz-Layna, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after a search operation by Adams County Deputies, with support from the Moses Lake Police Department, uncovered a significant amount of stolen property linked to several recent burglaries.
The search, carried out in Grant County, was part of an ongoing investigation into a string of burglaries and stolen vehicles across Adams and Whitman counties. Authorities recovered stolen property tied to burglaries in Ritzville, Washtucna, and other areas of Whitman County. Among the items found were various tools, a four-wheeler stolen from Whitman County, and additional stolen items believed to have been taken in the past week and a half.
Diaz-Layna was taken into custody and booked into jail, facing multiple serious charges, including Residential Burglary, Burglary in the Second Degree, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Theft in the First Degree. As the investigation is ongoing, authorities have not ruled out further arrests or charges.
