Jagtar Singh Arrested in Brampton Gas Station Robbery

by Amelia Crawford

Jagtar Singh, 30, has been arrested in connection with a gas station robbery that occurred on January 17 in Brampton. Peel Regional Police say two male suspects entered a gas station near Hurontario Street and Bovaird Drive West, where they displayed an imitation firearm, demanded cash, and fled with a quantity of money. No physical injuries were reported during the robbery.

Singh, a Brampton resident, was apprehended just a short distance from the scene. He now faces multiple charges, including robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, and using an imitation firearm. Singh was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice.

Police are still searching for a second suspect, 30-year-old Taranjot Singh, who is also wanted for similar charges. Authorities are urging anyone with information or knowledge of Taranjot Singh’s whereabouts to contact the Central Robbery Bureau or Peel Crime Stoppers to provide an anonymous tip.
