Daniel Laws Given Suspended Sentence for Breaching Criminal Order

33-year-old man violated anti-social behavior order in Nuneaton

by Amelia Crawford

Daniel Laws, 33, from Nuneaton, has received a suspended prison sentence after violating a criminal behaviour order that prohibited him from entering the town centre. The order was initially put in place due to his history of anti-social behaviour and shoplifting.

At Coventry Magistrates’ Court, Laws was handed a 20-week jail term, which was suspended for 15 months. Additionally, he was ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £154 and complete 15 days of rehabilitation activities.

The breach occurred when a police officer on patrol saw Laws in Stratford Street, Nuneaton, despite the existing restrictions.
