The Pindwara Police have successfully arrested two individuals in connection with a mobile and cash robbery case that occurred nearly a month ago. The stolen mobile phone and cash have been recovered from the accused, and further investigations revealed their involvement in multiple similar crimes.
According to Anil Kumar, Superintendent of Police, the arrests were made under the guidance of Bhavani Singh Rajawat, the Pindwara Police Station Officer. The arrested individuals, Madhuram and Kantilal, both residents of Bankavas, Udaipur, were taken into custody in the Kantal area of Pindwara. The police also recovered the stolen Redmi mobile from their possession.
The crime took place on the night of March 2, 2025, in Ajari village, within the Pindwara police station area. The victim, Walaram, a resident of the village, reported that after dinner, he went to sleep at around 10:30 pm. At around 12 am, when he woke up to urinate, everything was in place. However, by 5 am, his Redmi C305 mobile (IMEI number: 869541061135136) and a handbag containing his business bills for selling papayas were missing.
In response to rising mobile thefts in the area, the Pindwara Police formed special teams and launched a thorough investigation. After reviewing over 50 CCTV footage clips and conducting technical analysis, the police managed to track down the suspects. The investigation was bolstered by intelligence gathering, which ultimately led to the arrest of the accused.
During their interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in a total of six mobile thefts in Pindwara, Rebariwas, Rampura, and Sarupganj. The accused also admitted to assaulting Ramesh Singh and Ramesh Kumar, robbing them of their mobiles in separate incidents.
This case highlights the importance of diligent police work and technological tools like CCTV footage and technical analysis in solving crimes swiftly. The authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover further details of the theft ring.
