Tanyce Bell, a 35-year-old woman from Elizabeth City, North Carolina, has been charged with second-degree murder following the fatal shooting of her husband, Devaughan Bell.
The incident occurred early Thursday morning when Elizabeth City police responded to a call from Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, where hospital staff reported a gunshot victim. Devaughan Bell, 39, was pronounced dead due to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
According to police, the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute between the couple. After an investigation, it was determined that Tanyce Bell shot her husband during the altercation at their home in the 1400 block of Nelson Street.
Tanyce Bell has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held without bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on Monday for her first hearing.
