Steven Dackiewicz Arrested for Posing as Amazon Driver in Robbery

Suspect posed as delivery driver to rob home in December

ALLIANCE, Ohio (WOIO) – Alliance Police arrested Steven S. Dackiewicz, 60, of Chardon, on Thursday for felony aggravated robbery after he allegedly posed as an Amazon delivery driver to rob a home in December 2024.

According to a post on Facebook by the Alliance Police, the incident occurred on December 7, 2024, when Dackiewicz, pretending to be a uniformed Amazon driver with a fake package, gained entry into a home on South Linden Avenue. Once inside, he brandished a pistol and demanded cash from the victims before fleeing the scene.

Following an investigation, detectives issued an arrest warrant and located Dackiewicz in Chardon. Authorities clarified that Dackiewicz was not employed by Amazon at the time of the crime.
