by Sophia Bennett

A Seneca Falls man was arrested after allegedly stealing merchandise from the local Walmart, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department.

Richard A. Wollek, 47, was taken into custody on February 28 at approximately 3:08 p.m. after officers observed him taking multiple items from the store at 1860 North Road. Police say Wollek passed all points of sale without attempting to pay for the stolen goods.

Wollek has been charged with one count of petit larceny. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date.
