HARTFORD, Conn. — Hartford police are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday morning at the Travel Inn Motel involving a father and his alleged son. The incident took place around 11:00 a.m. when authorities received a call reporting a fight between two men in a car outside the motel on Weston Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the driver, identified as 78-year-old Vincent Hokim of Middletown, unresponsive with multiple stab wounds. His 49-year-old son, Raybin Hokim, was the passenger in the vehicle. Police quickly detained Raybin Hokim after he exited the vehicle.
Investigators believe Raybin Hokim stabbed his father multiple times. The victim was reportedly at the motel to pick up his son, who was staying there. Police have yet to determine the exact cause of the altercation but are working to establish the details of the situation. Lt. Aaron Boisvert stated that the father and son were Connecticut residents, though not from Hartford.
Authorities confirmed that Raybin Hokim cooperated with police during his detention. The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to uncover the motive behind the stabbing.
