Accused include quarry owners and lorry operators linked to stone mining

by Ananya Mehta

Police have arrested four individuals in connection with the murder of Jagaber Ali, an activist who had been actively campaigning against illegal stone quarrying in the Thirumayam area. The arrests were made following extensive inquiries conducted by the police on Sunday night.

The arrested individuals are:

Rasu
Dinesh
Muruganandham
Kasinathan
These arrests came after the police gathered significant evidence linking them to the murder of Jagaber Ali, who had been vocal about the illegal stone quarrying activities in the region.

The police are still searching for another suspect, Ramaiah, who is also a quarry owner in the Thirumayam taluk and is believed to be involved in the crime.

The investigation continues as authorities work to bring justice for Jagaber Ali, whose activism against illegal quarrying ultimately led to his tragic death.
