Two former employees of the Aberdeen Walmart are facing felony charges after being accused of stealing merchandise from the store. N’diasia Crosland, 19, of Laurinburg, and Fantasia Terry, 19, of Laurinburg, were both arrested and charged with felony larceny by an employee, felony possession of stolen goods, misdemeanor larceny, and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods.
Aberdeen Police Chief Brian Chavis reported that officers were called to the Walmart on Turner Street on November 22 after a series of thefts were uncovered. Upon arriving, officers learned that Crosland had stolen items on multiple occasions, both while on duty and after clocking out. The thefts occurred on September 28, November 2, and November 8, and were uncovered through video surveillance and witness statements.
Officers returned to Walmart on November 24 after being alerted to additional thefts. This time, they investigated allegations against Fantasia Terry, who was accused of stealing multiple items on November 5, 10, 11, and 12. Like Crosland, the thefts were reportedly committed both during and after work hours. Video surveillance and statements were used to confirm the incidents.
Both women have been charged, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are continuing to review footage and gather information related to the thefts.
