In a significant operation, the Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested three members of the notorious Gogi gang who were allegedly planning a robbery in South Delhi. The accused have been identified as Abhimanyu (22), Amarjeet (27), both from Jhajjar, Haryana, and Shamsher Singh (27) from Hisar, Haryana.
On Monday, Delhi Police received credible information about the criminals’ plans to carry out a robbery in the South Delhi area. Acting swiftly, a team was deployed, and a trap was set near Dhaula Kuan, heading towards Rao Tula Ram Marg. As the suspects appeared on a bike, the police intercepted and arrested them on the spot.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Aditya Gautam, confirmed that the arrested individuals were also wanted in a case of armed robbery filed at the Sadar police station in Gurugram. They were part of a gang that had committed an armed robbery of approximately Rs6 lakh near Rajiv Chowk, Gurugram. The trio had connections with active members of the Gogi gang, including Mohit Badhani and Monty Maan, and had been facilitating the gang’s criminal activities.
The police are now investigating further to uncover the full extent of the Gogi gang’s operations. The arrest is seen as a major step in dismantling one of the most dangerous criminal groups operating in the region.
