Two individuals have been arrested following the discovery of stolen property during a search conducted by RCMP in the South Okanagan region of British Columbia.
On April 15, officers executed a warrant at a property on Road 15, uncovering two stolen motorcycles, construction materials, farming equipment, a firearm, and ammunition, according to a statement released by the RCMP.
The operation involved multiple RCMP units, including the Oliver RCMP detachment, Crime Reduction Unit, and Police Dog Services.
David James O’Brien, 48, and Yanni Gagnon, 36, were taken into custody and are now facing charges related to possession of stolen property. O’Brien also faces additional charges for possessing ammunition while prohibited.
“This property is well known to police,” said Sgt. Laurie Rock, area commander of the Oliver RCMP. “The South Okanagan RCMP detachments continue to tackle property crime in the area and will use all measures available to us to bring those responsible before the courts.”
The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities committed to curbing theft and property-related offenses across the region.
