Three men were arrested by the police for operating a fake Oxytocin injection manufacturing unit near Alampur Tiraha in Saharanpur. The accused — Sonu, Bhura, and Noor Hasan, all in their 30s — allegedly produced and sold counterfeit Oxytocin injections after learning the process from online tutorials.
On Wednesday, the police raided their makeshift factory and seized multiple vials of fake Oxytocin and acetic acid, which is used in the production of the synthetic drug. According to SP (rural) Sagar Jain, the suspects had procured raw materials from Delhi and sold the counterfeit drugs in nearby towns at significantly lower prices.
During questioning, the men admitted to learning how to manufacture Oxytocin injections through online resources. The counterfeit drugs were sold in cities around Saharanpur, offering a cheaper alternative to the legitimate product. An FIR has been filed at Gangoh police station, and all three men have been sent to jail as the investigation continues.
