21 Arrested in Sacramento Dollar Tree Retail Theft Bust

Six repeat offenders face Proposition 36 prosecution

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) arrested 21 individuals, including six repeat offenders eligible for prosecution under Proposition 36, during a targeted retail theft operation at the Dollar Tree on Florin Road in South Sacramento.

The arrests were carried out by SCSO’s Property Crime and Organized Retail Crime Task Force Detectives in coordination with Central Division Deputies. Among those arrested were four juveniles, while the adult suspects include:

The Florin Road Dollar Tree has generated 67 calls for service in just three months, with company officials reporting nearly 65% losses in 2025. SCSO noted that repeated thefts are threatening the jobs of the store’s 10 employees.

Authorities said the operation was part of an ongoing effort to address organized retail crime and deter repeat offenders in the area.
