The Dharwad Rural Police have solved the murder of 21-year-old Zakia Mulla within 12 hours of the crime, arresting her fiancé as the prime suspect.
Superintendent of Police Gunjan Arya confirmed the accused as Sabir Parvez Ahmed Mulla, a driver and resident of HUDCO Colony, Sadhanakeri, Dharwad.
Police are investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding the murder and have taken the accused into custody for further questioning.
