A 65-year-old woman, Yvonne Tran, was arrested last week in connection with a series of thefts from an Under Armour outlet in Carlsbad, facing at least 10 felony charges.
Over a five-month investigation, detectives worked closely with the store’s security team to track down Tran, who is suspected of more than 40 separate thefts amounting to nearly $100,000 in merchandise, according to the Carlsbad Police Department.
Police executed a search warrant at Tran’s home, where they recovered Under Armour items matching the stolen goods. Tran was subsequently booked on multiple counts of grand theft.
While authorities have yet to release a detailed list of the stolen merchandise, the investigation continues. The police encourage anyone with additional information to contact the Carlsbad Police Department.
