NELSON COUNTY, Ky. — A traffic stop on Saturday night, Nov. 29, in Nelson County led to the arrest of William Pauley, who was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.
Deputies from the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office observed Pauley driving a Ford F-150 recklessly near the 25-mile marker on the Bluegrass Parkway, weaving between lanes and failing to maintain proper lane control.
When deputies pulled him over, an open-air K9 sniff indicated the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered more than 16 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash.
Pauley was arrested and charged with:
Reckless driving
Possession of a license to be in possession
First-degree, first-offense trafficking in methamphetamine
Possession of drug paraphernalia
He is currently in custody pending further legal proceedings.
