West York Man Arrested in Connection with Assault and Robbery of 70-Year-Old Woman

Frank Brannon Jr. faces multiple charges after allegedly robbing and assaulting a woman in West York

WEST YORK, Pa. — A 41-year-old man wanted in connection with the assault and robbery of a 70-year-old woman in West York was arrested Tuesday and booked into York County Prison.

Frank Brannon Jr. is facing a range of charges after he allegedly assaulted and robbed the woman of her purse on December 12, 2024, in the 1100 block of Rampart Avenue. The incident left the victim shaken and prompted an investigation by the West York Borough Police.

Brannon faces several charges, including:

Felony robbery
Conspiracy to commit robbery
Aggravated assault
Misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking
Conspiracy to commit theft
Simple assault
Reckless endangerment
Receiving stolen property
His bail was set at $25,000, and he is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on December 31, 2024.

The police have not released further details on the circumstances of the assault, but they are continuing to investigate the case.
