SARNIA, ON — Victoria Lewicki, 24, has pleaded guilty to fraud and uttering a forged document after attempting to purchase a $100,000 truck using stolen identification at a Sarnia dealership.

Lewicki was arrested on January 31, 2024, after presenting fraudulent documents at Park Lane Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC in an attempt to buy a new 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. The transaction involved a stolen driver’s license, bank cheque, and credit card, all under another person’s name.

Staff at the dealership became suspicious and alerted Sarnia police, who confirmed the documents were stolen. Lewicki was arrested when she returned to collect the vehicle. Authorities seized multiple forms of fake ID and a small amount of suspected cocaine during the arrest.

Her lawyer, Terry Brandon, told the court that Lewicki suffers from borderline personality disorder and was influenced by questionable associates. However, she admitted that Lewicki chose to act as she did.

Justice Brian Weagant remarked on the severity of the crime, saying, “It’s not shoplifting. It’s a $100,000 vehicle.”

Originally charged with multiple counts, including identity fraud and drug possession, Lewicki pleaded guilty to two charges while the rest were withdrawn.
