ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — Tyques Jay Ingram-Smith, 27, was arrested for failing to comply with North Carolina’s sex offender registry requirements.

The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office reported that its Sex Offenders Registration Unit investigated Ingram-Smith, resulting in a felony charge for failure to report a change of address. He was taken into custody on February 23, 2026.

Ingram-Smith’s bond was set at $30,000 secured. The sheriff’s office emphasized that the registry helps law enforcement protect communities by ensuring individuals convicted of sex offenses, or certain crimes against minors, keep their registration information up to date.
