Two men, Yancarlos Carrion, 21, and Franklyn Gadiel Martinez, 22, have been arrested after allegedly stealing a French Bulldog from the driveway of a Cutler Bay home. The theft occurred on Monday, and it was all caught on the victim’s security cameras.

Around 5 p.m., the men took the male French Bulldog from the 8000 block of SW 185th Terrace. After the theft, they fled the scene in a Chevrolet Malibu, but their actions were quickly captured on video. The footage was shared widely on social media, leading to their identification and capture.

An anonymous witness recognized Carrion and Martinez from the viral video and called the police. Officers responded and located the Chevrolet Malibu near SW 179th Terrace and SW 77th Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted, and both men were taken into custody.

During questioning, both suspects admitted to the theft, according to police. Carrion and Martinez were charged and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

The stolen dog has been safely returned to its family.
