Two individuals were arrested in connection to an armed robbery that took place at a KFC in Ithaca on Thursday, February 13. The Ithaca Police Department responded to the scene at 10:04 p.m. on Elmira Road after a report of an armed robbery.
According to police, an employee was held at gunpoint and demanded money by the suspect before fleeing the scene with an accomplice. Following their investigation, officers traced the suspects to a nearby home where they were believed to have fled.
A search warrant was executed at the residence, which led to the discovery of evidence related to the crime. As a result, two individuals, Allen Forest, 44, and Jessica Anderson, 24, were arrested and charged with various crimes.
Charges against Allen Forest:
Robbery in the second degree (class C felony)
Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree (class D felony)
Criminal use of a firearm in the second degree (class C felony)
Menacing in the second degree (class A misdemeanor)
Grand larceny in the fourth degree (class E felony)
Charges against Jessica Anderson:
Robbery in the second degree (class C felony)
Both individuals appeared in Ithaca City Court, where Forest was placed in the Tompkins County Jail without bail. Anderson was held in the same jail with a bail set at $50,000 cash or $5,000 bond.
