EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Authorities have arrested two men in connection with a deadly stabbing at a Northeast El Paso house party that stemmed from a noise dispute.
On Sunday, May 10, around 1:14 a.m., police responded to a stabbing incident at the 5300 block of Dalton Avenue near Irvin High School. The altercation occurred during a house party featuring a live band, where partygoers were confronted by two men, Ransford Julian Myers, 24, and Michael Gary Myers, 56, over the loud noise.
In the violent confrontation that followed, three individuals were stabbed. One of the victims, Hugo Benitez, 35, later died from his injuries after being rushed to the hospital. The other two victims are reportedly in stable condition.
Ransford Julian Myers and Michael Gary Myers were arrested at the scene and face charges related to the fatal stabbing. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
