Two men, Deontae Chambers, 22, and Anonymous Colin, 20, have been arrested in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries in the Fairfield Community on October 24, 2024, the Harris County Constable’s Office announced today.
The arrests follow a detailed investigation after Constable Deputies discovered stolen items from the burglaries at a local pawn shop. By reviewing pawn records, deputies were able to identify the suspects, leading to the issuance of arrest warrants for both Chambers and Colin.
During their arrest, deputies found the suspects in possession of two firearms, one of which was reported stolen, as well as nearly 74 grams of marijuana. In addition, they had multiple stolen debit and credit cards, driver’s licenses, and stolen keys on their person.
The stolen items were subsequently returned to their rightful owners.
Chambers has been charged with two counts of theft of a firearm, fraudulent use of identifying information, possession of marijuana, and theft. His bond has been set at $36,600.
Colin faces charges of possession of marijuana, fraudulent use of identifying information, and burglary of a motor vehicle. His bond has not yet been set.
Both suspects were booked into the Harris County Jail and are awaiting further legal proceedings.
The arrests highlight the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to address property crimes and ensure that stolen goods are returned to victims. Deputies continue to investigate the case as they work to identify any additional suspects involved in the string of burglaries.
