POLK COUNTY, Fla. – What began as a report of a possible break-in at a Highland City Airbnb on June 20 ended with the arrest of a man wanted in Georgia on child enticement charges.
Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded around 9:30 a.m. to the Airbnb, located near Lake Hancock Road, after receiving a call about a potential residential burglary in progress.
Upon arrival, deputies encountered 23-year-old Tiekei Dae’Shawn Dickerson of Lakeland, who had in fact rented the home but arrived nearly six hours before his scheduled check-in. Investigators confirmed there was no burglary or property damage.
However, a routine warrant check revealed an active felony warrant out of Lowndes County, Georgia, charging Dickerson with “Enticing a Child for Indecent Purpose.”
Dickerson was immediately taken into custody and transported to the Polk County Jail, where he awaits extradition to Georgia. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the case in Lowndes County.
