Agartala city police successfully arrested three individuals involved in multiple theft cases and looting household items from the Shyamali Bazar quarters complex. The police also recovered stolen items worth Rs. 3 lakh from the suspects’ possession.
The incident came to light when the police received a complaint regarding a stolen incident at the Shyamali Bazar quarters. Based on the complaint, an investigation was launched. Using circumstantial evidence, the police managed to track down and arrest the three thieves, identified as Akash Ravi Das, Dipankar Banik, and Sudip Chakraborty. The suspects were apprehended from different parts of the city.
The police successfully recovered various stolen household items worth Rs. 3 lakh from the accused. The arrested individuals were produced before a local court, which granted the police remand requests on Sunday.
The operation was carried out under the leadership of OC of New Capital City (NCC) police station, Prajit Malakar.
