Three Arrested in Sundargarh House Burglary Case Stolen Cash and Ornaments Recovered

Raghunathpali police apprehend suspects involved in May 21 theft at Panposh village

In a swift breakthrough, Raghunathpali police arrested three persons linked to a house burglary reported in Panposh village, Sundargarh district. The suspects — Palash Ghosh (21), Bubu alias Amarjeet Singh (24), and Pintu Pradhan (22) — were taken into custody following a complaint filed by Bablu Kumar on May 22, 2025.

The theft occurred on the evening of May 21 when Bablu Kumar’s mother, Mini Devi, returned home during heavy rain to find the front door broken and ajar. Inside, the house was found ransacked with valuables missing, including Rs 80,000 cash, approximately 5 grams of gold ornaments, and 68 grams of silver ornaments.

Police investigation quickly led to the arrest of the suspects and recovery of Rs 40,500 in cash and a pair of gold earrings. Authorities are continuing the probe to locate the remaining stolen property and verify any involvement of the accused in other local thefts.
