PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Tanaya Darnetta Williams, 28, was arrested after authorities say she committed two separate retail thefts worth nearly $5,000 within a span of just weeks.
Williams is facing charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property following her alleged theft of $4,080 worth of items from Target on Chemical Road in Plymouth Township on April 17. This arrest follows an earlier incident in February, where Williams is accused of stealing nearly $620 worth of merchandise from a CVS on Butler Pike.
Her arrest comes as part of Plymouth Township police’s “Retail Theft Roundup,” an initiative aimed at addressing retail thefts in the area. Williams’ bail was set at $1,077 as she awaits her preliminary hearing, which was scheduled for April 28.
Authorities continue to investigate retail thefts around the township as they work to address the growing issue.
