Hyderabad’s Commissioner’s Task Force, South West Zone, in collaboration with Amberpet police, apprehended three individuals for drug possession and trafficking. The arrested persons include two alleged drug peddlers—Solomon Susai Raj (33) and Shaik Ghouse (34)—and one consumer, K. Mahesh (25).
Authorities seized a total of 6 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of MDMA, 2 LSD blots, and other materials valued at Rs3.35 lakh.
According to police, Solomon Susai Raj is a Hyderabad native with a history of drug abuse involving weed, MDMA, and cocaine. His involvement in drug trafficking reportedly began in 2021 when he and a friend, Abdu, sourced ecstasy pills, MDMA, and charas from Bengaluru and Goa for distribution in Hyderabad. The two were arrested by Ameerpet Excise police during that period.
In 2023, Solomon was again arrested under the NDPS Act by LB Nagar police in Rachakonda and sent to Cherlapally Jail. While in jail, he met Shaik Ghouse, who was serving time for a ganja-related offense. Upon release, the two resumed their drug dealings.
Last month, Solomon allegedly procured a fresh batch of narcotics—including cocaine, MDMA, and LSD—from a contact in Bengaluru. On December 21, while attempting to sell drugs to K. Mahesh in the Amberpet area, the three were caught red-handed by the Task Force and local police.
Additional DCP Ande Srinivasa Rao confirmed that the accused are now in custody and facing charges under the NDPS Act.
