MISSISSAUGA, ON — Peel Regional Police have arrested three men following an auto theft investigation that led to the discovery of alleged staged collisions and insurance fraud at a Brampton repair shop.
The investigation began after two separate vehicle thefts occurred in Mississauga on Sunday and Monday. The stolen vehicles — a 2025 grey Honda CR-V and a 2025 white Honda CR-V — led officers to a repair facility near Hale and Bramsteele roads in Brampton.
Police executed a search warrant at the location on Wednesday and recovered multiple stolen vehicles valued at approximately $100,000. During the search, officers also found tampered vehicle identification numbers (VINs), counterfeit registration documents, stolen license plates, key fobs, and other tools used for illegal activity.
Authorities allege the auto shop was involved in staging collisions to obtain insurance information fraudulently. A dog discovered at the location was rescued and turned over to Brampton Animal Services.
As a result, police arrested:
Shan Nouri, 20
Syed Ahmed Shah, 23
Enias Marunza, 21
All three men face charges including:
Possession of break-in instruments
Possession of automobile master key
Tampering with vehicle identification number
Selling or possessing counterfeit marks
Four counts of possession of property obtained by crime
