Rosanna Cabales was arrested in the early morning hours of July 24 after a traffic stop revealed her possession of a schedule II controlled substance, methamphetamine.
Police initiated the stop around 1:20 a.m. when Cabales exhibited erratic driving. Upon approach, officers observed her to be visibly nervous, struggling to provide a driver’s license, and admitting she did not have one.
Cabales displayed fidgety behavior, heavy breathing, and avoided eye contact. Despite verbal commands, she repeatedly reached toward the area between her seat and the center console, prompting officers to remove her from the vehicle for a safety check.
A pat-down and a quick search of the driver’s area uncovered a clear bag containing a white crystalline substance. Field tests confirmed the substance was methamphetamine.
After being informed of her rights, Cabales admitted ownership of the drugs, stating she purchased them from a woman and uses meth but does not sell it.
She was subsequently booked and held in custody.
