BENTONVILLE, Ark. — A 23-year-old man has been arrested following a shooting incident reported at the Comfort Inn in Bentonville on Dec. 28.
At approximately 9:32 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired at the hotel. Police found a man who had been shot. According to the hotel’s general manager, the victim had been shot off-site and came to the Comfort Inn seeking help. He was transported to Mercy Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Authorities confirmed the suspect as Ronaldo Rodriguez-Torres, 23. He is facing multiple charges, including attempted capital murder, first-degree battery, aggravated assault, committing a terroristic act, and negligent discharge of a firearm. No bond has been set.
The Bentonville Police Department said the investigation is ongoing but stated that they do not believe any additional individuals were involved.
