Reno Hospital Employee Arrested for Stealing Credit Cards and Items

Gabriel Ruiz, 30, Faces Multiple Charges of Identity Theft and Credit Card Fraud

RENO, Nev. – A hospital employee has been arrested in connection with multiple thefts at Northern Nevada Medical Center. Gabriel Ruiz, 30, was identified as a suspect after a thorough investigation into reports of stolen items and credit cards from patients and fellow employees at the medical center’s Longley Lane location.

The Reno Police Department began their investigation last month when they received information from patients and employees about the thefts. Following the inquiry, Ruiz was arrested and booked on several charges, including:

Identity theft
Use of credit card without consent (x8)
Possession of a stolen credit card
The investigation into Ruiz’s actions is still ongoing, with authorities continuing to review the extent of the thefts.
