Red Oak Police Make Two Arrests in Theft and Warrant Cases

Local authorities arrest two individuals on theft and warrant charges

RED OAK, Iowa — The Red Oak Police Department made two arrests recently in separate incidents.

In the first, officers arrested 49-year-old Lisa Marie Elliot of Malvern for 5th-degree theft. Elliot was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and held on a $300 bond. The Red Oak Police Department acknowledged the assistance of the Mills County Sheriff’s Office in this case.

In a separate traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 34 and G Avenue, officers identified 53-year-old Tony Joe Hemiller. Hemiller had a Pottawattamie County warrant for a Sex Offender Registration Violation, first offense, and an aggravated misdemeanor from a recent compliance sweep. Authorities transported Hemiller to the Montgomery County Jail, where he was held on a $2,000 bond.

The Red Oak Police Department continues to work closely with neighboring agencies to enforce local laws and ensure community safety.
