In a surprise operation, the Ranipet district police seized over 30,000 tablets of Tydol 100 mg, valued at approximately Rs1 crore, from five individuals at Arakkonam railway station.

The arrested individuals—K. Mastan Kurshid Ahmad (31), A. Abdul Rasheed (33), S. Murthash (37), V. Sageeth (40), and Umaiyar (22)—are all residents of Mumbai. Acting on a tip-off received by Ranipet SP Ayman Jamal, special police teams were deployed to conduct checks at various railway stations in the district.

During a thorough inspection of the Mumbai-Chennai superfast express at Arakkonam station, police intercepted Mastan Kurshid Ahmad and Abdul Rasheed, recovering the tablets from them. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the operation and any other individuals involved.
