PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrested Ramon Casanova Friday evening on multiple drug- and fraud-related charges, according to authorities.

Casanova, a Black male, was taken into custody at approximately 6:08 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2026, under Report No. 274667. Deputies say he faces allegations including possession and/or use of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and fraud-related offenses such as providing false identification and possessing a blank, forged, or stolen driver’s license or ID card.

Officials have not disclosed details about the initial law enforcement encounter, the type of controlled substance involved, or how the identification discrepancies were discovered. No injuries were reported in connection with the arrest.

Charges related to controlled substances and identification fraud carry serious legal consequences under Florida law, particularly when multiple offenses are alleged in a single incident. Information regarding bond, first court appearance, or potential additional charges has not yet been released.

As with all criminal matters, the charges are allegations, and Casanova is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Authorities and media outlets will continue monitoring the case as it proceeds through the judicial system.
