Chatra police arrested two inter-district drug peddlers near Salga Anganwadi Centre on Saturday, recovering 10 grams of brown sugar. The accused, Rajat Raj (25) of Ramnagar Mohalla, Sadar, and Chhotan Kumar (20) of Vishnupuri, Katkamdag, both from Hazaribag district, were spotted near a motorcycle acting suspiciously.
Police searched them and recovered the narcotics along with a motorcycle and a mobile phone. A case was registered under the NDPS Act, and the duo was produced before court, which remanded them to judicial custody.
Police are continuing investigations and raids to trace the source and network behind the contraband supply.
