Raidurgam Police Arrest Two with Rs 74.5 Lakh in Unaccounted Cash

Cash Recovered from Suspicious Scooter Transport, Income Tax Investigation Pending

Raidurgam Police arrested Ravi Kumar and Sai, two residents of Chitrapuri Colony in Manikonda, on Thursday after they were found in possession of unaccounted cash worth Rs 74.5 lakh. The duo was transporting the cash in bags on a scooter under suspicious circumstances when they were detained by the police.

Upon inspection, the police discovered the large sum of cash hidden in the bags. When questioned about the source of the money, both suspects were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation. Consequently, the authorities seized the cash.

The Raidurgam police have handed over the seized money to Income Tax officials for further investigation into its origin and legality. A case has been filed, and an investigation is underway.
