The Jayanagar police have swiftly cracked a major house break-in case within 48 hours of the complaint being filed, arresting three habitual offenders and recovering gold ornaments valued at Rs78.5 lakh.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Raghu (25), Mithun (24), and Jaideep (25), all known to police for prior criminal activities. The trio allegedly broke into a house and looted over 1kg of gold along with other valuables.
According to investigators, the accused had stashed a portion of the stolen jewellery in a vacant plot in the Thurahalli forest area, possibly to retrieve it later when police pressure subsided. Based on interrogation and technical surveillance, the police recovered the buried items.
Senior officers lauded the swift work of the Jayanagar police team, which used CCTV footage and local intelligence to trace and apprehend the culprits in record time. The arrests have brought relief to the victim and highlighted the efficiency of local law enforcement.
