In a decisive action against narcotics, police have arrested two individuals in connection with drug possession and trafficking. The suspects have been identified as Rachpal Singh, a resident of Ravidas Nagar, and Bachitar Singh.
Rachpal Singh was apprehended with 256 grams of narcotic powder, while Bachitar Singh was caught in a separate operation with 270 grams of narcotic powder and Rs 4,300 believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
Authorities stated that both men were taken into custody as part of an ongoing crackdown on local drug networks. Cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act have been registered against both accused.
Police are continuing investigations to determine if the two suspects are connected to larger supply chains. The arrests mark another step in the effort to curb drug distribution in the region.
