A 24-year-old woman from Quebec, Asmaa Ouadria, was arrested in Mississauga on March 29, 2025, in connection with a stolen vehicle. Peel Regional Police officers were notified of the theft in the area of Willow Way and Riverside Place, near Bristol Road West and Creditview Road, at approximately 11:30 a.m. Officers conducted surveillance in the area and located two individuals, who were subsequently taken into custody.

Ouadria has been charged with several offenses, including possession of break-in instruments, possession of a device to obtain unauthorized use of a computer system, three counts of failing to comply with a release order, and breach of a probation order.

A youth was also arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, although their identity was withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police revealed that Ouadria was wanted for similar charges in Durham Region at the time of her arrest. She is also linked to an incident on March 21, 2025, where a Durham Regional Police officer was struck by a vehicle during an attempted arrest in Oshawa. Ouadria, who was in a white Mercedes, allegedly attempted to flee, and the vehicle reversed, dragging the officer several meters before hitting a parked car and fleeing the scene. The officer suffered minor injuries.

Both Ouadria and the youth were held in custody pending a bail hearing. Peel Regional Police are continuing their investigation and have asked anyone with information to come forward.
