Two days after police took suo motu cognizance of a viral video showing a brutal assault on a man at an under-construction society in Gurgaon, authorities arrested the fifth and key accused, Yogendra Bhati, on Wednesday.
A joint team from the Sector-10 Crime Branch and Sector-10 Police Station detained 49-year-old Bhati, a contractor from Greater Noida working at the construction site where the assault occurred, officials said.
This arrest follows the apprehension of four other individuals involved at the site—Pushpendra (39), Ajit Singh (38), Krishna Kumar (19), and Amit Kumar (39)—arrested a day earlier. According to officers, Pushpendra and Krishna served as security guards, while Amit and Ajit worked as security supervisors.
